Glen S. Fukushima Political Impact Grants
The Glen S. Fukushima Political Impact Grant is awarded to individuals who are advancing AAPI political empowerment or are engaged in maximizing the electoral impact of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the 2018 election cycle. The Glen S. Fukushima Political Impact Grant is provided by the CAPA21 Action Fund through a grant from Mr. Fukushima.
CAPA21 Action will determine the recipients of the Glen S. Fukushima Political Impact Grants through an internal review process. Grant recipients will be individuals and not organizations. There are no applications for these grants, but CAPA21 Action is accepting recommendations and suggestions of grant recipients via the form below.
CAPA21 Action is especially interested in learning about individuals making a demonstrable political impact who: (1) have a track record of advancing women, and/or Pacific Islanders, Filipinos, Southeast Asians, or other under-represented AAPI ethnic groups; (2) have assessed existing and planned efforts by AAPI political and civic organizations and identified areas of opportunity or unmet needs; and (3) have leveraged data on the AAPI electorate into a strategy for electoral success.
